Messaging & Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains consent requirements, unsubscribe handling, anti-spam rules, prohibited uses, and restrictions on unlawful calls, texts, and automated communications when using the systems we set up with you through Side by Side AI.
1. Consent Requirements
You must obtain valid, documented consent before sending marketing messages, emails, SMS, or making automated calls. You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate level of consent required by applicable law for each channel and jurisdiction.
2. Unsubscribe and Opt-Out Handling
All marketing messages must include a clear way to opt out. You must honor opt-out requests promptly and remove opted-out contacts from future marketing campaigns. Suppression lists must be maintained and respected.
3. Anti-Spam Rules
You may not send unsolicited messages, purchase contact lists without verified consent, or use deceptive subject lines, sender names, or content. All communications must accurately identify the sender and provide a valid physical address where required.
4. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the platform to:
- Send unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or fraudulent communications.
- Make robocalls or automated calls to numbers on do-not-call registries without proper consent.
- Send content that violates carrier, provider, or platform policies.
- Disguise the origin of messages or calls.
- Use messaging or calling for high-risk or prohibited industries without authorization.
5. Calling and Telephony Restrictions
Automated and AI-assisted calling must comply with applicable telemarketing and calling laws, including consent, calling hours, identification, and do-not-call requirements. Outbound calling workflows are permitted only where supported and legally allowed.
6. Carrier and Provider Compliance
Messaging and calling are subject to carrier and provider rules, including A2P 10DLC registration, sender verification, and throughput limits. You are responsible for completing required registrations and for any fees or consequences of non-compliance.
7. Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in suspension or termination of access to affected features or the platform. We may take action to protect the platform, our carriers, and other users from misuse.
